A mandatory program for freshmen and transfer students, designed to help them acclimate to the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø’s environment, learn about campus resources, and register for classes.
Yes, all freshmen and transfer students are required to attend orientation. If you are a transfer student, you may have attended orientation at your previous institution, our orientation will help you understand the unique policies, processes, and resources associated with being a student at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.
Although it is not mandatory, all new parents and families are invited and strongly encouraged to attend segments of orientation specified for families. Guests will hear from faculty and university administrators about how to partner with ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø to support students during their matriculation.
Orientation is required in order to provide all new students with information about being a successful college student at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø. You will learn about the University’s academic requirements and all the campus resources available to you. You will leave orientation feeling prepared for what to expect as a ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø student, you’ll meet other new and current students, and you’ll leave feeling prepared to have a successful first year at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.
Yes, you must attend all of the programs and presentations during orientation, and attendance will be taken throughout the program.
Yes, these offices and more will be present at orientation and there will be opportunities for you to ask questions. We hope you leave Orientation with your questions answered and feeling well informed.
