Institutional Accreditation

Bethune-Cookman University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the baccalaureate and master’s degrees. ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Note: The Commission should be contacted only if there is evidence that support ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø's significant non-compliance with an accreditation standard or requirement. Inquiries relevant to University operations, such as admissions, registration, financial aid, academic and student support programs, etc., should be directed to the appropriate ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø department.
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø was granted initial institutional accreditation by SACSCOC in 1947 and has continually received decennial reaffirmation since then. ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø’s accreditation was last reaffirmed in 2022 and next decennial reaffirmation of accreditation is scheduled for 2030 including a Fifth-Year Interim Report (FYIR) required in March 2026.
